PM/2 for DOS Product Information FAQ pages
Q: What about the Year 2000 problem?
A:
PM/2 for DOS, release
3.02 and above, is fully Year 2000 compliant and records full (8-digit) date information
wherever necessary to avoid ambiguity. The current release of PM/2
for DOS is 3.13.
In some areas (e.g. recording visits) PM/2 for DOS will ask for dates in the older 6-digit format, e.g. 07/04/98 or 07/04/01. This does not create a Year 2000 issue, because in such cases, the system will treat 2-digit years as being 2000 or beyond, when the 2-digit portion of the year is less than 80. Since visits and payments are occurring in the present or the recent past, this approach automatically assigns dates to the correct century, at least until the year 2081!
