How do I recover from the "1010" error message?
A:
The 1010 error message means that the index files of PM/2 for DOS have been damaged and need to be rebuilt. This process only takes a moment, and can be done in a number of ways. Whichever method you select, you should first, close down PM/2 and, if you're working in a network environment, make certain that all other users are also out of the program. Then, either:
- Click the "Reindex" icon in your PM/2 for DOS program group:
- Or, start the Windows Explorer and open the C:\MGR folder. Click View, Arrange Icons, By Type. On the right hand side of the Explorer window, highlight and delete all files with a .cmx extension, taking care to delete no other files:
- Or, get a C:\MGR> prompt in DOS and type in the command:
